home for summer!
i dont know if i'm excited or not to be here. i got home today, fought with my brothers. had fun with my parents, but mainly just felt suffocated. this could be due to the lack of FRIENDS that i have at home. alli gets back tomorrow, and annmarie not until saturday. (even if we do see her friday night.) but in all the boredom (which really only is 1-2 days) i shall be redoing my room. i got the paint tonight, dark red and victorian linen. i have the tan rug from school, and i think it'll look nice. i havent decided my 3rd color tho, i think i'm going to keep the red and antique white and then choose a 3rd color when it hits me...i like that idea.
oh, and last night was SO MUCH FREAKING FUN. Eileen, Irene, Mark, Zach and i all went to Rita's for Eileen and Irene's bdays. Rita's mom totally offered my a place to crash in their house (since i'm the only one from NJ) and all of them are so incredibly nice. Claire gave me a hug when i walked in! and Margaret, Irene's friend from home that goes to Mount Holy Oake, love her. i wish she went to FU bc she'd be an awesome addition to our group. Mark actually enjoyed yesterday too, which made me smile. Saying something good about college always seems like a stretch for him. Eileen was shocked by these martini glasses we got her. and we all took about a thousand pics. times will be fun in sept. even though i'll only be there a semester. Zach may kill me for missing his graduation, but it's not like he wont see me afterwards. besides, i'll blame it on tickets. speaking of graduation....Oz, Chris Campbell, and Mike Martin all graduated from SHU on monday. Surreal. I'm getting fucking old.
oh and i'll tell my LJ friends (as i told everyone else, and i'm still really excited about it) about Greece. so everyone knows that i'm volunteering (even Fr. Jim Mayzik at Ham Channel) at the Olympics. all well and good. HOWEVER! i learned yesterday from eleni that i will be living in Glyfada, (the coast of Athens) and it is..get this in an elitist beach area, that is within walking distance from the venue we're working in. Eleni is doing press operations and i'm doing spectator services. (i'm even getting school credit for it as an organizational comm internship.) We're both going to be at the field hockey arena. i'm SO PSCYHED. i want to call Ms. Coombs from CPHS and tell her! YAY!

oh, and something else i find to be random. how everyone else get stalkers on LJ! i def dont get them, or well, besides rachel from shu who still has me on her friends list (which i find to be odd, but since my life is so exciting [blatant pop], i cant blame her, lol). but really...i dont get anyone who just likes to read my journal. maybe it's bc i have no profile, that COULD BE IT!hmm.. whatever, i like the fact that i have some kind of knowledge of who reads it. it's not posted anywhere, and it's not like i'm writing down hurtful/racist/obscene things in here. whatevs. i personally still feel that my lj is fabulous.
so what will i be doing for the rest of the summer? besides clinging to annmarie's left leg, i intend on working at les enfants, interning at time warner, and then it's off to Athens for me. ad i'll be back about 10 days before school starts. awesome. just awesome. (even if i'm missing the ham/wvof retreat as kevin pointed out..i'll see all those guys when i get back, with braids or dreads!!! AHHH! so excited!)
