17 hours of driving in 1 weekend+hardcore partying= michelle's exhausted

so irene and i drove up to maine. it took 8 hours on friday bc of traffic, but we got up to umaine orono w.o. a problem. That night we hung out with her old friends from school there, and they were able to reminisce, and her friends were still really nice to me. =) Then saturday we took the 1 1/2 drive over to umaine machias. Alright, as a person who's lived in suburbia/city her whole life, the idea of needing a car indefinitely was shocking, in maine, you need a car to do ANYTHING. plus as pretty as maine is, i realized how much i feel like these people are just living in a bubble, and are completely closed off to the rest of the world. (not saying all of maine, but where i was this weekend but anyway.)

saturday night after getting dolled up, we went to this bar called AJ's. the bartender was from england, but had a definite irish brogue (dont ask) and had these creepy locals hitting on us. But there was one local (who wasnt ugly, i might add) who was massively hitting on me. so irene goes, "i dare you to say, 'hey big boy' and flirt with him...if so, i'll buy another round." Would i say no to another round? hell nah...so i went to this guy and said, "hey big boy, whatcha doing tonight?" and he laughed and me..and by the time he went to answer i already had the bartender over to us, and ordered 3 cosmopolitans. lol.

next we went to this toga party. we werent dressed in togas, but only the greeks were, and it was hot.i met so many really nice people, and this kid mark, who was so completely hot...into me (says lots of people there) and well, really nice. but as much as i was able to talk to him, i was still wasted and c'mon? things never work out like that.

while i was there, i met this girl, jo, who was from somerset, england. she's freaking awesome, she's spending the semester here, or well, maine, and she's coming down to NY, so she asked me to show her and her friends around one day! how fun! plus while i was talking to her i oddly broke out in an english accent that i was complimented on, whatever. but she was also hanging out with this kid tommy, and i swear i thought he was gay. Jo and I were going back and forth, trying to decide (she said even as his friend, she didnt really know.) So i asked, him (hell, i have no fear, i have alcohol) and he said he was straight, jo and i kept making fun of him tho, and i go, "well, if you're straight, kiss me" and then he jumped on me, and jo was hysterical laughing while she caught my beer before it fell on the ground. AHH. it was funny tho, and it wasnt long, i dont really consider it as truly making out, but it wasnt bad. lol.

meanwhile, random people kept hitting on irene and i bc we were obviously not from there. (most people in maine look like they got caught in the 80s, and still have no fashion. plus, they have no teeth. it's scary!) irene kept running around screaming "motherfuckaahh" and getting everyone to join in. it was hysterical. and then we went back to mark's place, and some guy told me that i was deisel (poor beer-noculars) and we were there for a little while. next we went back to katie's friends' place...where i slept, in a red chair, sitting up. but it was fun anyway. and i smoke the best stuff for free, like 4 times. oh geez..guys, maine weed..awesome.

then today, after waking up..they took us to the beaches around here, in the attempt to see seals. (i was trying to see a fucking moose and bald eagle all weekend, to no avail.) but it was beautiful, and i stole a rock. Guys, i know when we go to the beach in the winter and it's fun, but it's nothing compared to floating baby icebergs going on off the coast of maine. oh, and katie's guy friends are so nice.

we left at 4:30 expecting a 8-9 hour drive ahead of us. irene got us back in 7 including stopping to eat and for gas, a total of 50 min. very impressive irene. i dont think we dropped below 90 until we got into CT. lol. alright...i guess that's it, bc i'm fucking exhausted.
