HALLOWEEN!!!
We all know this is my favorite Holiday, why its not as acknowleged as much as it should be I have no idea. The day before which was Sunday October 30th, I had me a wheeee lil gathering. It was nice. I was a preggers Kittie Kat, Ben dressed up as Dorothy from wizard of OZ. Dear lord. He looked great though heeheee. Stephy was a flutterby, a few Vamps, Tessa was Minnie mouse, Abbey was possesd Segorney Weaver from GhostBusters 1 and Peter was possesed Rick Moranis. They were so cuuute. We played cards and watched the game. I learned how to play Texas Hold em!!!! lol Im not really that good at poker. I was the first to bet and I went all in. Heh Needless to say everyone folded and all I won ... was my own money. Hhehehheheheee I think i neeed to work on my technique.
Anywho, Halloween day I had to stock up on the norms for halloween, candy, candles and an apple. You may ask me what the apple was for. Let me indulge you. Halloween is also known in the green as Samhain Sabbat. Its when you wish all the spirits farewell and thank them for a great harvest. Its an old ritual and I am a firm believer and lover of Earth and Nature. And like every year during this time we all see her fall into a deep sleep till spring. In the ritual you say your thanks, and welcome the spirits who are passing through. The apple is used to welcome the spirits. After the whole ritual is done you burry it your front yard, under a tree or something. Some people think its silly, but I love earth and nature so much I wouldn't be following my heart if I didn't do this every year. After all was done I got dressed up as a kittie and handed out the candy tho the lil ones. I love the effort some of these kids put into thier costumes. Its so cute, and ofcourse I give the ones who actually TRY alot more candy. I got a kid and his mother who went out and didn't even dress up!!! Whats that crap!!! He mumbles
"..trick or treat ..."
I looked at them and said
"boy you guys really cheesed out on your costumes"
his mother looked at me and said
"ahhhh ... hello."
THAT LADY COULDN'T EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! How teed off was I? pretty TeeEEEEeeeD off. She was latin and people like her give such a bad name for people like me. I am fist generation of my family born in America, that means my WHOLE family came from Ecuador not knowing a damn word of English, and all of them forced themselves to learn the language worked thier asses off in facotries, made enough money to make it to college, scored high on tests got scholoarships and now have a great job. Whether its a business they started on thier own or made thier way up in another they all struggled to freeking succede. Fack My mother is a international Math teacher!!!! What does that tell you? Now that I think about it I wish I dropped a "learn English" book in that womans candy sack. Heh I've ranted ;) I need to get off my ass and go run the errands much love peeps.
