Chuck Palahniuk, my idol, in turn idolises Amy Hempel. I wonder who Amy Hempel idolises, but I don't really worship her enough to care ( Read more... )

I just browsed through your journal and I am glad you said hi. The interest is mutual.

We should be friends, although I warn you - I have a tendency to be hated by LJ.

(This is my main journal. It's up to you which side of me you'd like to be exposed to.)

I tell people the same thing when they ask if they can be my friend on livejournal. I don't want to scare my friends in real life. I know I write weird things and sometimes you know that scares people who don't believe in abstraction and other ramblings....Honestly scares people I think sometimes.

No, I didn't! I should have, just to see what he wanted. And maybe laugh at him. I wasn't as bold then as I am now.

haha, someone from my school left a stalker-type of comment on my LJ once and I took it up with him. Sorry, not my type. I dumped him in a month. Moral of the story? Nothing is ever as good as you can imagine it -- Choke

That's why I like online friends better. People halfway across the world from me. People I'd never meet. I tried it before and it kind of ruined the experience, once I really got to know them in person. I have social anxiety. I couldn't talk to them anymore. I realised we didn't have as much in common as we had thought.

Ah, that happens, with people that you know only through LJ/internet first, since there's so much that you can't tell just from internet contact. For the record, however, everybody says that they have not been disappointed meeting me in real life!

I'm ridiculously easy to get along with.

But social anxiety, I would imagine, would be a dampener on a real life relationship! No matter, thank heavens for this text on a screen.
