Other People

We went to Tyrone Square Mall for the first time in nearly a year. I had forgotten about all the strange characters one experiences riding the bus. We arrived at the mall and made a quick run past the stores toward the Dollar Discount. Who knew there were so many clothing and shoe stores? Also as a side-note, how come Gadzooks is always full of people who do not wear clothing resembling that sold there? Seriously respond with an answer, we're stumped. Anyway I got a new plastic sword and Helfrich got an industrial sized tub of blue hair gel. We then went and spent an afternoon in the Borders and spent entirely too much money. On the way back to the bus-stop we came across the Magic Mushroom Machine. I climbed inside and it triggered a wave of nostalgia. What was my life like the last time I was wedged into the Magic Mushroom Machine?

It was more cramped last time, but there were three of us in there. Hamilton was on my lap and Beth was hanging out the door. Helfrich was outside because he could not fit. We were at the mall because Beth was looking for clothing for her first date that night with a new guy. Hamilton was searching for scented candles, Helfrich was searching for Werewolf books, and I was looking for a dollar store. We had left in a hurry that morning and jumped onto a bus to escape Pongo. During the trip we lost Helfrich and due to an extended time searching for him we caught the last bus home. Hamilton and I spent the bus ride home comforting Beth and telling her that the new guy would understand why she was late.

Hamilton was still sober, Beth was still a virgin, and I was still surrounded by people I liked.

Nearly a year and a half later Helfrich and I are all that is left of that time. The people that were current then are gone. Many others have come and gone since then. Somehow Helfrich and I survived, though I don't know how. I believe it has to do with the real talks we have.

Anyway, we are all applied for Ford, and new class schedule should come up next week. Already we are nearly halfway through college. Time has flown and yet I still feel as though just yesterday I was hanging out with rose in the parking lot waiting for Kevin.

Ahh time travel :)
