Tattoo thoughts

So, I think I've thought about it long enough (um, several years): It's time for me to get a tattoo. But considering that this is a forever decision, I'm checking in with my friends list for opinions/advice. Not that any else's decision will be binding here, but I want to get some input to make sure I've thought through anything that might turn out

I have been talking about tattoos quite a bit recently with various people. (I think the only thing that kept me from getting one is the whole I'm scared shitless of needles thing!)
My friend KT has a tattoo that was designed for her by her friends in high school and she thinks it's great even now because she feels it represents a turning point in her life. She definitely feels like tattoos should have a lot of meaning behind them and it sounds like yours does. (I told her the story about how if I'd get a tattoo it'd probably be something random and spontaenous like when I got my belly button pierced, except that it'd probably be a bad idea because a tattoo is wayy more permanent)
Your tattoo also reminds me a lot of Morgan's old tattoo that she had on her back...it used to read "God's Love" in Hebrew, but she got it covered up...I'm not actually sure why either... Anyway, longest comment ever, but yeah, the whole idea of a work of art on the body is pretty awesome in my opinion! I like your comments about permanency too... All kinds of crazy things cause permanent changes to the body--like I have permanent scars from my surgery now. It's just another story to tell and at least this one is planned out. :)
