Get ready, everyone because I’m off to Endicott, and taking Baby Evs with me! I got into to their single parent’s program! My own beach-side apartmentyearround on a georgeous campus, here I come. Not to mention the excellent nursing program they have there :-)
I celebrated by going to Delias.com and putting everything I liked on my wishlist. I’m so spluring all of next month’s pay checks. My parents are taking me out to eat this weekend, and they said they would take me appartmentitems shopping for my graduation gift.
So I’m sure the thought of “Who the hell takes a baby away to college?” is crossing some people’s minds, and frankly, I ask myelf the same thing sometimes. First off, the school is an excellent one, and extremely beautiful; I would love to live there, period. Also, I love the whole support group they have there for us teen mommies, so it’s not like I’ll be the only girl on campus with a tot. And lastly, unlike the majority of college-goers, there’ll be no parties or Friday nights out for me. Sure, that would probably be me if I didn’t have a daughter to set an example for, but I do; like I said in a previous entry, I’ve already grown up a lot faster than my peers. I know it’ll be somewhat difficult at times being surrounded with all that “college-ness” when I don’t fit the typical college student sterotype, but when I think of Evelyn and how she is the world to me, I wouldn’t trade places with anyone else on campus :-)
