You know what?

I don't know you. At all. I ended up here because I saw someone saying you'd made a moodtheme for The Office. I haven't even looked at your userinfo.

I mean, I didn't even have to finish glancing at the top of the page to know that I already love you, because Peter Sarsgaard...is currently having a bitch fight with James Spader for the number two position on my List to Kill For.

Of course then there's all that stuff on the side that made me certain I love you, but really, you had me at the Peter Sarsgaard Garden State layout.

But instead of asking you to marry I'm just asking if I can friend you.

You to marry me, by the way, not just to marry, although that, too, seems a bit much.

Oh yes, and nancy-and-celia-doing-it-friday. That's paraphrased, I'm not sure if it's right.

Yep, that's it. :) And I have an icon to match the interest.

You know, I think it would be pretty cool if we could have 150 icons, and then one to match each interest.

Although it would be hard to only have one for some interests.

Certainly, you may friend me. (And perhaps we can consider marriage after we get to know each other better. :) Peter Sarsgaard is currently at the top of my obsession list, except when Mary-Louise Parker is. And I've loved Spader for years. He even made me break my vow to not watch anymore DEK shows. bastard. sexy, sexy bastard.

*goes to friend you*

(Also, I must mention that lora_elisabeth made the header for me. I'm sure I probably mentioned in replies to this post, but I can't not pimp her awesomeness if given a little opportunity.)

Yeah, since I discovered Weeds, Mary-Louise Parker is way up there (although Kate Winslet can hardly be broken), on the female list. (Also Maggie Gyllenhaal.)

If I had to mix the two lists I don't know what I'd do.

Ewan McGregor almost always tops the list, simply by default, although the people who give him a run for the money include James Spader (most often), Peter Sarsgaard (most recent), Dominic Monaghan (most sporadically) and Adrien Brody (so two years ago, but still in my heart).

I've seen almost every Sarsgaard movie available on film except for...I dunno, there are two or three. Actually I own them all, except the ones that are still in theaters, the two or three I haven't seen, and Unconditional LoveGod I love that man ( ... )

Sometimes I mix the men and the women together in my obsessions list, sometimes not. But, if dividing by gender, Mary-Louise and Peter are at the top of their respective lists. Then, for the women, it'd be Maggie Gyllenhaal, Laura Linney and Rosario Dawson. And for the men, it'd go Kevin Spacey (and part of me is almost ashamed to admit that, as he's made so many crappy movies in the past few years, but I have loved him for years), Liev Schreiber, Spader. And a lot of people after that, because I am a bit of a skank for talented celebrities.

I have every Sarsgaard movie (well, that I could find track down. Some are obscure like woah) except for Unconditional Love, Another Day In Paradise (which he's in for about two seconds), and Desert Blue, which I haven't seen, can't find at Blockbuster, and don't want to buy without knowing if it's any good, or if Peter's in it much ( ... )

Eerily, those are the same Peter Sarsgaard movies I'm missing.

I think there's also another one I don't have. Although I know the psych teacher shows it in regular psych. I wonder if she'll show it in our class.

But I'm going to record Unconditional Love off Starz this month because it's on like 34984958 times.

Although he's not in it a whole lot. Disappointingly.

But, since it would appear that you are indeed the only other person on earth to have even possibly seen it (although it's vaguely obscure)...tell me about your perception of the end of The Center of the World.

Hmm, any clue what that movie might be?

But he is memorable. In a crazy way.

My opinions on that movie are pretty complicated and I tend to vacillate on what it means -- I also vacillate as to what Florence feels throughout the movie, because I'm not sure it's as entirely cut and dried for her as she said -- but, right now, I'd say that they were going back to their 'professional' relationship, as it was the level they best operated on. If that makes sense.

Yeah, I think I understood it pretty well until I watched the alternate endings, and then I got hugely confused. Because they all represent feasible differences in ending, which for some reason bothers me a lot because it confuses me as to how I should perceive the entire movie. I actually had to map it out and I'm still not entirely sure what to think.

I'm not really sure why this movie so mystifies me, but it does.

I try not to think about things like alternate endings when thinking about what the movie means. And I think it's perfectly natural to be mystified by the movie. I am, too.

I'm quite glad it's not just me.

See, it's...it's just the other endings all seemed to me something that I should take into account, because even though that's not what happened it was something that they felt COULD have happened considering the characters, so...life so hard.

I count alternate endings as alternate universes, really, and not a part of the entire movie. But I do like to think about the possibilities, just not let it effect my judgment on the final film.

See, and you're right. I shouldn't count it in my judging the film, because obviously the ending is at it is for a reason, but nonetheless for some reason I can't get it out of my head, because you don't normally see dramas with different endings for that sort of reason, and the ending speaks so much for the character.

It's such a puzzler.
