- For some reason the chickens really love to gather, sit, groom, and sunbathe on the picnic table. Can't say I blame them though, it is a nice place to sit...
- LaRoo's feathers are just so pretty, I can't get enough of them!
- I got the door and the last panels of wire up on the coop run, much to the girls' chagrin. I left them in the run this morning (hey, they have to get used to being in there sometime) and they were griping at me as soon as I got out of my car when I returned. Still a bit of work to do on it yet,
but I'm quite pleased with how it's going.
- And the little duck continues to give LaRoo a run for his money in the handsome department, though in a delightfully ducky way, of course. ;)
- Ducky nap-time,
can you spot all seven?
-
Pippa poses...
- And I smell the roses
(or rose, as the case may be). :P
- In non-photo news, I received the final payment for the finished
stained glass doors in a nice note from the lady -she really loves them (YAY!).
- I've started reading
The Omnivore's Dilemma (something I've been meaning to read for a while) and while I've gleaned a lot more background on things I already knew, I'm finding the writing a bit... wordy and even indulgent. I just think it could have been pared down quite a bit for more impact. But so far it's still an interesting read.
- Grandpa fell again. Beaned his head pretty good and sprained his wrists. Thankfully that seems to be the extent of the damage and they gave him some medication for pain. The root of the problem is his instability, particularly when turning in any direction. Getting a different walker should help a bit, and hopefully prevent him tripping on his own feet (which is how a fall starts with him). Still, it's a challenge (and rather disheartening) no matter how you look at it. :\
