I've been in Chicago working on store remodels.

I dont think I can even begin to explain how much I love that city.

Even though sales tax is 10.25% and cigarettes are $7 a pack, within the next few years i WILL be living there. I want to sell my house and get a $2500 a month studio apartment on Michigan Ave.

10.25%? jesus! i thought california was bad. and that much for a studio? it had better be amazing. san diego is supposed to be expensive but damn.

what is it in california? yeah the amount of space you get for your money is crazy. and of course i was looking at the most expensive buildings i could never afford.
but you dont need a car!

i'm not sure what the exact percentage is. i never really pay attention. it's like 7.75 or something. right now i'm paying $980 a month for a one bedroom, 600 square foot apartment. that's actually a really awesome price considering i'm a block and a half from the beach. i always keep an eye on the fancier places just in case i fall across tons of money.
