Cliff Face - a poem by me

Aug 18, 2007 12:18

It’s cold and lonely

Sitting on this cliff face

The sun on my face

Though no warmth is

Felt from the

Shining suns rays

The wind blows cold

On this setting scene

The shining brilliant sun

Setting below the trees

The light fading

The darkness creeping in

I am sitting on

This cliff face

Alone and cold

No sun shines on

This day now

Just the dark haze

Of night

The dawn brings a

New day

All bright and warm

I am still sitting on

This cliff face

Waiting

Waiting for the warmth

To surround me

And make me

Warm with life

Here I sit on this cliff

Soaking in the day

The beauty of nature

In all its glory

Appreciating the stillness

The wind

The trees

The beauty that lies in front of me
