Hey Andrew,
You have a really interesting view on the poem and because of this I decided to comment on your journal this week.
When I first read the poem I didn’t understand it fully and it seemed to go in one ear and out the other with no regard to me understanding it.
After reading what you thought of the poem, I have a better understanding and a different angle to it as well, I do agree with you that it is a romantic poem because I know that if a guy wrote a poem like that to me or for me I would be the luckiest girl around, and I thought the poem was romantic when I read it again.
The way that he talks about the sun makes it all the more romantic to me because then he is saying like you said that nothing matters in that moment except them and not to bother them in this moment because if the sun does then it is like the moment never existed.
I also agree with you that the poem is very well written and that it opens us up to poetry in a differing form and the importance of such a poem and it’s meaning to us.
