Hello Michele:

It's very nice to hear from you! I've been in contact with many of my girls the last few months. You're a peach Michele to write me and I do appreciate it. I think Mr. Hamel has determined in his own mind that he's going to effect change in many areas at FSC and shuttling is only one of them. I keep up with the Gatepost, the hard copy, as well as going on line to see what's happening at FSC. I've read the two most recent threads on the Shuttleman from Derek and Shannon Rich and it makes me feel proud that I was thought of so highly by you kids of which you'll always be near and dear to my heart. I've enjoyed my life and you kids have been a big part of it. (nearly 6 yrs.)

As for coming back I have visions of shuttling again, however, Mr Hamel's program, for the most part, seems to be doing well. I think Busy Bee Transportation expects the school to fall flat on their faces. I personally don't see this happening. It's unfortunate the new driver's, excluding students, can't show a little more personality toward you kids. People need to be happy, you kids need respect and consideration. You are all terrific! Remember this Michele, whatever you decide to do in life for your career, if you truly love it, it's not work. I loved doing the shuttle and I loved each and every one of you kids. I thought before I left, the school administration might have considered me staying on to do the 10 to 2 shift. When nothing happened, it showed me that the people that should be in the know, the hierarchy of the school, weren't privy to what we all shared on the shuttle or if they were just didn't care. They kind of "cleaned house" with Busy Bee! It's kind of sad when people make unpopular decisions that effect others' lives to the negative! If I was asked to come back, even though I do like catching up on the many hours of sleep I missed over the years, I'd strongly consider it.

My daughter Kerri is due 5/10/05 with her first child. She's getting really big and naturally Patty and I are very excited. I'm going to not try to spoil the baby too much. Only kidding! Tom is graduating from Anna Maria College in May and planning on going to Grad school right away. My son-in-law the CPA accountant is looking out for him. I appreciate this very much. Amy is working and running a graphic arts dept in Holliston and doing well. She, as you may remember, is the newly wed last 7/17/04.

Finally, i do think of you kids a lot and a shuttle of my own next year might be a strong possibilty too! I hope the semester is shaping up for you Michele and more importantly you're happy with your life. You know you're really a nice girl, and that perpetual smile you always had on your face was always nice to see. Write me any time for I'll always get back to you. Ask me any questions or concerns you may have for I'm only an email away. Wishing you all of life's blessings Michele and please say hi to everyone in O'connor for me. Please try to kick the butts OK?
Fondly, Gene

p.s. Look for my weekly updates on the business program I've been emailing out on weekends. If you haven't gotten the emails regularly check your junk email too. Some kids have gotten involved but many haven't. I'm a little perplexed that so few have signed up. Much money to be made and a very small investment! If you want the "info" get back to me whenever!
