Things have been on super-galactic-overdrive the past couple weeks. I've barely had time to breathe. Just going, going, going.
This past weekend was super busy. Friday after work I took the kids over to see my bros new house (near Lake Tapps) and try to help his wife get ready for the house warming/welcome baby Devin party on Saturday. Well, turned out she didn't need that much help so we just got to relax by the in ground pool and hot tub and play with the kids. It is such a nice house with a huge yard and in a good location. I'm very proud of my brother. Crappy part is he is working in Wenatchee for 3 months so he doesn't get to enjoy it or his family until the weekends. Bummer. So, I am going to try and stop by their house at least once a week. Give my sister in law some company...maybe relieve her from the kiddos for a bit. Kind of odd saying that because she and I used to not even TALK. LOL! Growing up is good.
Then we went to hubby's sister's house for a house warming/b-day party. Eegads...it was a full house. If you can believe it we had even ANOTHER house warming to go to. But, thankfully, we told them that we just couldn't make it. We had to stop somewhere. Ya know? I thought social engagements are supposed to slow down during the fall.
I decided to follow
wildcelticrose's lead and make the best out of the mercury in retrograde situation. I am refocused on my schooling situation. Turns out I only need 4 pre-requisite classes to get started on my degree (I thought I had a lot more than that). So, today I went down and signed up for one class. Chemistry. It is an online class. I may not be able to afford taking a full load (money AND time wise) but I figure I can start plucking away at the prerequisites and by this time next year I could possible be in a better situation. I really wish I could have recieved some financial aid by now....oh well. At least this is a start.
I've been fighting a skin problem for over 2 weeks now. Actually I think i've had it longer but I went to the doctor over 2 weeks ago. *sigh* I know people have a lot worse medical problems than I do but I sure am getting sick of all these little nuances that come up. I have white spots all over my body. Literally...all over. The doctor thinks it is from my vacation at Chelan and we didn't shower much for the week, etc., etc. AND I probably have a low immune system problem from my stress. So, basically, the yeast that lives naturally on my skin has decided to wreak havoc on me. Why can't I just get a cold like normal people? Sheesh. Hubby tries to tell me that I am his sexy, spotted cheetah wife. LOL! What a dork. Well, he is a dork that means well. I've been on a special body wash for the 2 plus weeks and an ointment and things were getting worse. So now, I am taking an oral medication that apparently is really hard on the liver. No drinky drinks for me. So far I haven't had any side effects. *crossing fingers* So annoying.
Tonight I am going to get together with a couple of gal friends and we are going to watch some of season 2 of True Blood. WOOT! Love that show, but don't have HBO. That should be fun.
This weekend is sure to be filled with social abligations and much house cleaning. BAH!
