I'm going back to bed damn it!
Holy HELL this day has been a hectic one. Seriously, I don't even know where to start.
First off, the weekend was decent. I ended up with a pukey migraine yesterday which put me in bed for half the day. So, that sucked. Of course, it was daylight savings so my sleep schedule is out of whack. And hubby was a snoring machine last night so I didn't get the sleep I would have liked (had to go to another room to sleep). So, suffice to say, I am retarded from my migraine (always takes a day or two to recover) and seriously sleep deprived.
So, when I woke to snow on the ground, I knew it was going to be hectic. Work phone calls started at 7'ish (which isn't too early but I don't start until 8). My helper is out with sick kids, so I had to get the timesheets in. Jobs cancelled or moved around because of the cold weather. Our IT people did a server change over the weekend so none of my printers were working (not to mention other items that didn't make it to the new server). Also, my actual internet connection to the office, which is a T-1 line, keeps dropping. Not sure what the hell is up with that. Of course, since my helper is out the phones are ringing off the hook. I am the only person here as one estimator is working remotely and my boss is out on a jobsite doing his thing. *sigh*
Mind you, i'm not complaining that my job sucks...it has just been hectic today. This whole week looks to be rather busy. Well, at least it will go by quickly, right?
I guess I should get back to work.
By the way, if you haven't seen it yet you must watch The Last King of Scotland. It is a great movie. Hubby and I finally watched it over the weekend. It has been out on DVD for quite some time now.
