Ugh, so much to think about
Tomorrow my superintendent and good friend goes in to get the cancer removed from his urethra. So, i'll be thinking about him tomorrow. Before he left today, he bought myself and my co-worker flowers. He said it was because he was going to be gone on Friday. What a silly man. He has cancer but wanted to make sure we got flowers for Valentine's day.
Gosh darn it, there is SO MUCH STUFF going on with work and I can't freaking blog about it (legalities and what not). I'm so irritated and baffled and just REALLY don't understand why people think the way they do. WTF?
*sigh*
So, my power went out last night while we were sleeping. I'm thinking someone hit a pole because a) it wasn't windy and b) I saw skid marks this morning on my way in. Good thing my alarm clock has a battery back up for such conditions.
Also this morning, I noticed that my new neighbor across the street had her rear hatch window busted out. I'm not sure if someone broke in to try and steal something or if it was pranksters OR the ex-crack head-husband of the girl who lived there before is out of jail and doesn't know said wife has moved on. Either way, that sucks. I didn't bother to let her know as she works nights and there isn't much you can do at 6:30 in the morning. I will talk to her tonight if she is home. If not, I will at least leave a note. That is just plain crappy. We haven't had any "issues" in a while. I hope that doesn't mean we will be hit wth a crime wave again.
Last thing to think about....
Aside from the snow yesterday morning, traffic has been exceptionally good the last couple weeks. It makes me sad because I know it is due to people being laid off. Honestly, I would rather have the traffic than people not working. I mean seriously, Friday night I drove the speed limit ALL the way home. That NEVER happens.
Well, I had better get back to my work.
