Oh my goodness gracious, it has BEEN A WHILE. Where have I been? Partying. Kinda. Haha! So as a result of not having kept up with LJ for a long time, this entry might just end up as big as
this zit. (BTW Crystal, I hate you for showing me that.)
AUGUST 12
I went swimming with Sophia, Jill, and Julian at the Agincourt Community Centre (or whatever it's called). After we went, we had ourselves some yummy pho at the place at Midland/Finch. Julian got culture shock, it was pretty funny. And as if that wasn't enough, we headed to McDonald's at Woodside Square for some dessert (ice cream and fries MMM)!!! What a good night. =) However, chatting with everyone has got me thinking about how I don't know what I'm even going to do after university. I can't do ANYTHING with my Major in Biochem and Psych. Seriously. Grad school? I'm not good enough UGH! There's a new and upcoming chinese phrase for this situation - "butt yeep = sut yeep".
AUGUST 15
It was Crystal's birthday dinner at some place called Owl & Firkin. SUCH a white place, haha! Anyway, Nicole drove me there and we waited around for Crystal to come. We were quite a big group at the place and we all sat at one giant table. After dinner, we took an age (or so it felt) to decide what to do. Some people went home and some stayed. We were going to watch a movie at First Markham Place but there were no good movies left to watch. We ended up going to Destiny's for some bubble tea. We got intercepted in the parking lot by a bunch of York University people who were trying to get people to sign up for some bone marrow thing. It's all Kevin Lee's fault!! Sigh. But anyway, when we were in the room, I've observed that yes, York University guys do look better somehow. I've also observed that yes, York University girls do look sluttier too. Not to say that they all look like that but that's the impression I got anyway. Here at U of T, we look like shit. And there's a reason for it too. Sigh. ANYWAY, back on topic. We had bubble tea and just sat around randomly for a while. We decided later on it was time to go home, so home we went.
Crystal and I
AUGUST 16
I went to my uncle's house to celebrate Alexis' and my grandpa's birthdays. They are really close together. My uncle and aunt got Alexis a barbie doll cake. It was around $60 I hear? Anyway, one word: spoiled. BUT I gotta say it was pretty interesting when we cut out Barbie's ass and ate it. I took a picture too. Hahahaha!
Nice buttcrack, Barbie.
AUGUST 18
My last exam! It was Personality Psych and I didn't know WHAT to expect. When I got into the exam room and I started writing the exam, I realized it was DEFINITELY not what I expected. IT WAS EASY!!!!!! I finished going through everything about 30 minutes in, and it felt SO wrong that I purposely spent 20 minutes to go through everything again SLOWLY. I ended up getting out of there about 1 hour into the damn thing, and it was supposed to be a 2.5 hour exam!! SAY WHAT?! I just gotta say thank GOD I took Abnormal with Personality Psych in the summer because that exam was based on personality disorder stuff and I was already familiar with the information. Woot! =)
AUGUST 19
Happy birthday Crystal!!! She's 20. WOOHOO! I know most people find it depressing but I find it to be exciting. After all...you're not a teen!!!!! I always was a fan of the 20s because it's when your life starts falling into place and you don't feel like a lost little child anymore. It's a good thing, in my opinion. =P Anyway, Crystal went off to Windsor this day so we didn't celebrate the occassion. =P It's okay, we've celebrated enough. ;P
I ended up staying at home to watch movies. Jasmine called me in the middle of one and told me she was at Calvin's and ordered a pizza. She wanted stuffed crust...and only stuffed crust. So she asked me if I wanted to join her to help her eat the pizza LMFAO! Oh Jasmine. You are funny. So anyway, I went over and we sat in Calvin's room eating pizza while watching old episodes of Friends on TV. It was nice. =) I didn't realize how late it was getting until Jill called me to see if I wanted to go swimming with her, Devan, and Julian. Devan came over and picked me up and we headed to the Birchmount Community Centre (SO FAR!!) to swim. It was bigger and cleaner (or so it seems) compared to Agincourt and definitely less crowded. However, the distance we have to drive to get there makes it such a hassle. =S
After swimming, we headed all the way back up to Midland/McNicoll to have some bubble tea at Go For Tea (it opened)! Sophia joined us there and we just sat around and chatted until we figured it was time to go home.
AUGUST 20
Julian, Jill, Devan, Sophia, and I (the swimming crew I guess?) went to Ikea in the morning for some Ikea breakfast. Yes, we went there just to do that. We walked around the place as well (obviously) and took some silly pictures. We eventually had to leave though because Julian had to get back to his house and so I ended up going back home to nap. Well...at least that's what I WANTED to do.
I ended up going out with my family to Pacific Mall. Nothing special though. I just had to buy a cake into work because it was the pharmacist's birthday! Thank goodness it wasn't busy at work or I'd collapse from exhaustion! That was all because of the wonderful thing of a storm we had that evening. It was NUTS. Tornado warning LOL! I was supposed to be going to my friend, Grace's birthday party after work but I ended up not because of the tornado warning business. =( On my way back home from work, I saw a full rainbow though!! It was BEAUTIFUL in an eerie way (because the sky was still orange from the storm having just passed through). I wanted to get a picture of it, but it was fading away by the time I got to grab my camera. =( Darnit.
AUGUST 21
I got off work an hour early this day because my grandma was having a birthday dinner. It was closeby, but I didn't want to miss any courses!! =P Nothing that interesting happened. Just...eating.
AUGUST 26
Jack is back (it rhymes!) or at least that's what the text from Jill said. So a bunch of us went out for dinner at Boston Pizza at STC. Oh apparently in Vancouver, Jack found a 80 GB iPod lying around, so now he has one. =|
AUGUST 27
I had an 11 hour shift (crazy, I know). There was a "KPS gathering" going on and originally I wasn't going to go, but I got dragged out by Jackie. It was alright I suppose, aside from the part where we were in a room with walls that made every little noise bounce off like crazy. So with a giant group of people trying to talk over each other (and Jackie), it was quite straining on the ears. It was RELIEVING to get out of that place by the end of the night. Well, a bunch of us ended up going to Tim Lee's house to have some beer afterwards. We played flip cup, and I must say that Tim and I make an awesome team, mainly because he can chug beer faster than I can eat a double cheeseburger from McDonalds, and because I can flip cups LOL! Playing AGAINST him...now that definitely wasn't fun. I didn't get drunk, puke, or anything extreme like that. I just didn't like the idea of beer or anything to do with it afterwards.
AUGUST 28
I got off at 6 PM so after work, I went to meet up Jill at STC. We were going to go to Devan's house and such, but before we did, we shopped a bit. =P THERE WAS A SIDEWALK SALE GOING ON!!!! We all know that's danger zone. Thankfully, I wasn't thinking and wore my heeled wedges out, so I was slowed down by it. If I was in my flip flops, there would've been trouble!!! Afterwards, we went to pick up Jack and Mark at UTSC, then Devan at his house. We went to eat pho in some place near Devan's house (which BTW is in Pickering). Josh joined us and then we headed back to Devan's just to lounge around and play Guitar Hero. The guys were surprised at how "good" I was but I didn't think so (especially in comparison to Kelly or Nicole or something), but I'll take what I can get. =P Oh yeah, Devan has the CUTEST dog ever!! Cocoa!!! She likes licking things. =|
Cocoa!!
Playing Guitar Hero.
AUGUST 29
I went shopping with Crystal after work! I felt really bad because I ended up ditching my work BBQ for shopping, but oh well? =( I only regret it because I had said I was going to go before, and because I missed out on a chance to get to know Mr. Perfect better. Oh wells? What's done is done. =P
Anyway, as if last time wasn't enough, we went back to Tim's house for another "KPS party". It was BYOB, but AS EXPECTED, nobody BY-ed any B. X'D What a flop it turned out to be...at first. The guys naturally moved their way to the video games, while the party animals of the group (that being Tim, Jackie, Simon, and I LOL) headed to the basement to play ping pong. Jackie was drinking her coolers and she got flustered and giggling as usual. She was teamed with Simon, who was just an epic fail at ping pong. PLUS he didn't have to drink for it so Jackie was getting owned. Tim and I were just laughing our asses off at them, especially when Simon WHACKED THE PING PONG BALL AT JACKIE!!! X'D Seriously, that is saved in my memory right next to the other video memories I have (e.g. Jackie on Top Gun, Vivian on Behemoth, etc.)! It was THAT funny.
The party started when Steph came with her friend and her box of...BEER. [Faints] Man. That is also when a lot of people left. MAN. 8| We played flip cup and beer pong until really late into the night. We had to finish the beer before we left and it was down to the 5 of us (Tim, Steph, her friend, Jackie, and I). Actually it's more like the 4 of us since Jackie wasn't drinking (she was driving me home and she hates beer). We knew we had to go when Steph's friend threw a drunken fit and destroyed Tim's ping pong table...on my foot. It hurt for sure but I think I was more worried about the ping pong table. I felt SO BAD and felt partially responsible for it - I should've just let him win the damn game of beer pong! Jeez, men and their ego. [Shakes head]
AUGUST 30
I had dim sum with my family at Perfect Chinese Restaurant for lunch. We're hungry monsters and we eat SO FAST that sometimes even I'm amused by it. Anyway, went home and got ready for the SYTYCD Canada taping. Kelly picked up Nicole and I and we got a ride to Fairview, where we proceeded to bus to Pape Station (cool!), then to the studio. It was white people galore!! More precisely, white preteen/teen chicks that all looked the same...galore. LOL! We went in and waited for a bit and when we FINALLY got into the recording area of the studio, it was cool! We ended up standing in front of the judges (I was so close to them...) and I ended up being SO self-conscious because I know the camera focuses in that direction A LOT. However, there were white chicks in heels in front of us, so that also provided me blockage from the camera, if not from EVERYTHING yeesh. It was still pretty amazing being there. I'll never watching SYTYCD the same way ever again!!
AUGUST 31
I had another 11 hour shift at work. A feast was involved...as usual. The bossman is so cool like that. However, he got really irritated at a rude customer and had a semi-argument in the store. Man, rude chinese people arguing for their pennies IS quite annoying. I didn't know what to say afterwards to make the situation more like normal (that being fun and carefree) but I guess it's okay since we can both mutually agree that that customer deserved it LOLLLL!
And so that was August. The last of my September summer days is to come in another entry. =P
