Travelogue: Bath

Jun 30, 2005 20:26

Jane Austen spent several years in Bath, one of the places I kept going back to when I lived in London. It's only a day trip away, an easy enough city to navigate and pack full of literary goodness. :P

The view that will greet you as you enter the city

River Avon up close

Steps going to the park, early morning

The statue, up close

The door to the Abbey

Inside the Abbey, look up!

Roman baths, the infamous source of the water that cures all ills (I drank it, it's yucky and I didn't feel any better but I was fifty pence poorer for it)

Posing in front of the local market, I was so early it was still closed!

The best Thai Food restaurant in town, Mai Tai, 6 Pierrepoint St

English Breakfast Tea and Scones in a place with a ceiling like this, whoah!

Gift picture for wonderfruit and criosdan for answering my border questions. Thankyou!

I wrote a post a while ago about not developing nearly 15 rolls of film because I didn't want to see the photos ("The Truth about Love and Photography"). I've developed most of them now and slowly posting my favourites on here. :)
