Pancakes are meant to be round, of a certain thickness and stacked on top of each other. With a little bar of butter slowly melting on top and maple syrup dripping evenly on all sides. Well that's what they look like in pictures.
I like pancakes that are as thin as crepes, almost as small as fifty cent coins (like poffertjes or Dutch pancakes) and slightly burnt.
What I did make just a few minutes ago were pancakes that weren't quite as thin as crepes but not as thick as normal pancakes, came in various shapes and sizes (even a heart-shaped one and one that looked like an amoeba) and yay, slightly burnt.
Some of my experiences in life are like the pancakes I make. What usually happens is quite different to what I envisioned. But as long as there's butter and maple syrup on hand, it's all good.
