Funny but Sad
Two things funny today:
1. We were brainstorming for the workshop and towards the end, Madam asked "is that everything?" and my friend, H (who is famous for her motherly concerns) asked "what about the tryout, when is it?" and Madam said immediately "Oh ya! The food!" There was no link whatsoever from the question to the answer and all laughed. The funny part is the coincidence of H asking that right before Madam thought of something else in her head because H is usually concerned about tea and cleaning up and etc.
2. My friend was asking from her father money to buy the almanac for 2008 and he started giving a long sermon about how they shouldn't spend so much on luxury items like the almanac and stuff. She was on the verge of tears when she said "have we gone so dirt poor that we can't even afford to spare RM50 for knowledge?". The father was silent for a moment. He then said "Oh, I thought you wanted to buy almanac for RM2008.00"
One sad thing today:
I realized that people don't like me much. Not that I care, but it's saddening to know that I AM disposable to the community that I care so much. Oh well, life is a box full of chocolates. Just throw away the ones that don't taste good.
Oh and I've decided. The environment I am exposed to everyday nowadays is really unhealthy. I am going completely after I've settled some contributions. Then I am done forever. And I shall be happy when that moment comes.
