Oh, so other, not Taiwan things:
One, if you're going through the Hong Kong airport, leave yourself at least an hour in transit because that airport is huge! I took no less than two trains to get to my gate.
Two, watched Avatar in the plane. I can't even express all the issues I have with that movie. I can't even figure out what exactly my problem with it is except that it really got under my sking and everything started to bug me (like if they can telepathically communicate with the planet, why are they a warrior culture? And why are they humanoid and why do they reproduce sexually and WHY DO THEY HAVE BELLYBUTTONS (seriously, that kept bothering me. yes, I know I'm strange). it really was like Fern Gully only on crack. It should have been marketed at 8 year olds. Where was my grey-area? Anyway ...
Finally, Happy Birthday to all the people whose birthdays I missed (there were quite a few of them) and congratulations to my friend who got engaged while I was gone!
