Here is a thought that is both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time: Grad school in Hawaii.
Hawaii Pacific University (www.hpu.edu) has a MA in Human Resource Management. I have been hanging onto a brochure since April. I was looking at it over the weekend, and Aaron said "Why Not?" Why not, indeed. We got to talking about it and it is within the realm of possibility. Everything would have to fall exactly into place. But it has been our experience that if it is God's plan for us, the pieces always fall into place with very little interference from us.
Essentially, we would have to sell everything we own, and either rent a furnished apartment or go to the equivalent of Quality Rentals to furnish an apartment. It would mean 2 more years of cramped quarters, and me going a little bit insane. But the beach would be 5 minutes away. We also have some friends there. And I have an "ex-uncle" there that I would love to reconnect with. (My mother was married to his brother for 20 years. In that time, Jamie and I were very close.)
I need to talk with my advisor, and arrange to take the GRE. (
th8agirl and
theoddone81 can talk to me about that). I also need to find out how finalcial aid works for graduate students. Can you guys e-mail me what you know about that, too?
