Life it the moment has the potetnial to be very very good. these exams however are a bit of a bump in the road.
Law: Really don't have a clue what i'm doing - Aileen YOU are my messiah (this isn't optional)
PSYCHOLOGY: Sort of know what i'm doing but a bit patchy
GEOGRAPHY: Erm... we'll get there
SOCIOLOGY: Shouldn't be a problem
POLITICS: Again, should be fine providing i get the finger out (aka might be a problem)
Fortunately in the first 3 subjects i can take my 40% pas matk and run, infact in law i would prefer to get 40% than any higher incase it gave the impression tnat the teaching was upto scratch. I'd like to do well in the bottom two. Second year SHOULD be much better as i have just registered my classes whci includes a module on american politcs which i didnt know existed till this morning (yass!)I also intent to become more active next year in the union but on my own terms. On relection this isn't that surprising. In both primary school and high school, i hated the first 2 years and then gradually enjoyed more and more from then on - eventually with the last year being by fatr my favourite so to not be thrilled by uni in first year isn't something i'm worried too much about. Predictably i've done reasonably well in honours-bound politics and shit in the subjects that i don't care about it.
Work is a bit touch and go at the moment. I phoned in sick on Sunday so i couild lay a drive-way with Kenny which got me £100 in stark contrast to the £19.96 i would have collected for working. And kenny doesn't tax me either! The bastards owe me about £150 in tax money and i can't seem to fix it. It's getting out of hand now and i'm also owed another £40 in total by my "friends". As much as the phoning in sicjk thing was a suceess, it may look a bit dodgy doing it again on saturday week for the cup final which is part of the reason why i worked 7-11 on tuesday morning in a bid to get into Janine's good books and stay there. This is of-course if i actually egt to the cup-final. My dad's season-ticket-holding golf buddy is my only chance of getting a ticket as there is NO public sale. But even at that, demand has still outstripped supply so we are still not gauranteed tickets and will only find out at the last minute. I'm quite annoyed about this becuase i do deserve to go and i cannot be accused of not being loyal to the club but it'as not worth getting in a fix about. If i don't go - at elat i'll know i've done what i can. On a positve note, if we we playing another premier division club, the allocation would be smaller and the chances slimmer still so i guess we're lucky in that sense.
Tonights match against Aberdeen is the biggest we've played since the last cup final in my opinion. We have to win because to be honest, as much as this sounds uncharacteristically pessimistic, i do think we'll lose on Sunday so it's paramount that we get the job done NOW and enjoy a peacefull stroll in the ibrox sun on sunday. Aberdeen are 7 ganmes unbeaten and have already beaten us at Tynie this eason but if we play like we did on sunday it shouldn't be a problem. Come on!
With regards to the whole Lennon vs Skacel "spat" i would like to condemn both players. Rudi Skacel - i don't like you, you dive, you cheat, you do spit i believe and you bring the club a bad name. I know you're a great player but principals come first - we can manage without you. (He hasn't been that great since Christmas anyway) Neill Lennon - had you been any other Celtic player, I would have sided with you, but i agree with Pressely, it ALWAYS has to be you at the middle of every controversial incident in scottish football. The boy who cried wolf got spat on and no-one gave a shit. Tough luck chuck.
