What if everything was weightless?
Free of heaviness, would there be any pride in lifting something. A ton of bricks with your pinky? A chevrolet with your tongue? Would there be any body builders? If a 5 year old could squat thrust a thousand pounds as easily as Magnus Ver Magnusson*? Probably not.
Things are meant to be heavy.
Things are meant to be hard and seemingly immovable sometimes. Wheres the reward without gravity? And sometimes it seems like you're not out for life but maybe life is out for you and it starts to weigh on you. You can call it uncertainty but time alone can bring a man to his knees. Sometimes you have to carry the weight because it's the right the to do, you have to ingnore your bones, your aching muscles and tell yourself that this is something you have to do. The truth is you don't have to do much of anything, no one is gonna to make you be much of anything, and you can drift along with the tides if you so desire. But, when our books are written, who wants to say,
I drifted.
All of this may be true but believe me when I tell you, "we haven't seen the worst of it yet."
