You Should have died in a bed at 92

This is for my twin sister Sandy, who died this past April 7 and took half of who I was along with her...

"You should have died in a bed at 92"

You shouldn't have died in a hospital bed
You've should have died in a bed at 92
Surrounded by your grandchildren
People who loved you
A college degree hanging on your wall
You shouldn't have died without reaching your goals
A fine student you would have been
A head full of dreams, hopes for your baby daughter
You shouldn't have died without seeing your baby grow up
Her first day of school is coming fast
If she cries, she won't have your special hug & "Mama's Here"
You shouldn't have died without seeing what would become of me
So many changes in my life beautiful sister that I wish you could see
Wishing I could pick up the phone to tell you the latest news
You shouldn't have died in a hospital bed
Far from your comfortable warm bed you shared with your husband
Far from your friends
Far from your family
But so close to our hearts and to God's
You should have died in a bed at 92
