A sudden early morning realisation
You never hear the word "antelope" these days. Or "gazelle" for that matter. Are we just as a race not discussing our antlered bretheren any more? And while we're on the topic, no one ever mentions seals, sea lions or walruses either. What's wrong with the pinnipeds? Did they all die out and no one bothered to tell me? Why do we not discuss these animals anymore? Or did some words have to be shifted out so people could overuse "global warming", "paedophilia" and "credit crunch"?
