The other day, I came to the conclusion, with all of your guys' help (thanks again! I took everyones thoughts, suggestions and opinions to consideration), to take that nanny job. But I'm also going to stay working nights at the job I have now. I thought that the bakery could maybe stay open till 10, (it's only open till 9, now) I'd be working just 4 days a week from 5 to 10. I didn't think that it'd be a big deal to ask them if we could stay open one hour later. My boss didn't have a problem at all with it. Well, apparently the people upstairs aka the store manager and HR rep, are set on the answer 'no, the bakery will not be opened till 10' How stupid right? makes no sense to me. I wasn't even going to argue with them, because I don't argue too often, and because I'm scared. lol. I guess that they don't work around other work schedules. Like County Market is supposed to be our whole effin life or something? Thats outrageous!
Anyways, I thought well maybe they'll let me cashier, that way, my availability would be from 5 to close (midnight) they were, surprisingly, more than okay with that. I have one year of cashier experience with them, too, so it's not going to take a lot of training. It'll take a little training because its a new system. I'm kinda looking forward to be cashiering again, its been over 4 years!
I'm really trying to look at the positive in all this. Yes, I MAY be upset that I won't be in my bakery anymore. It really saddens me. We have the bestest of times back there. My boss is literally our 'friend first, boss second' she's not much of an entertainer though, lol.
I think the main reason that I decided to stay is, not only would I be rolling in the dough (lol) but I have benefits with this job, so I really SHOULD stay. It's going to be tiring, that's for sure, but I'm aware of all of this. It's definitely going to take some time to get used to.
So wish me luck, will ya? And wish for me to start liking coffee! I'll be needing that caffeine! :D Thanks again for any input you MAY have given me!
