I saw HBP yesterday, and yours is the first review I've come across, so my apologies for taking out all my excitement on your innocent journal.
- Okay, firstly (and quite desperately), did you find Malfoy's angsty, Hitler Youth on Heroin look a teeny bit sexy? Because I did, and the ten other people I went to see the film with decided that I was clinically insane for doing so. Please assure me I'm not the only one!
- Narcissa's small part was one of my favourite parts of the film. She played it spectacularly well.
- I ADORED the supporting cast of kids in this one; Luna was - as always - marvellous; and Cormac ... OH LORD WHEN HE LICKED HIS FINGERS AT HERMOINE I PRACTICALLY DIED OF LAUGHTER. I loved Lavender, too.
- Emma and Daniel seemed so, SO much better in this film. They just seemed so much more natural, Emma in particular.
- and doing nothing but excite my pyjama fetish for a good portion of the film OH, I CONCURR, GOOD SIR. Oh, Won Won ♥
- The writing was still a bit 'blimey, you bloody sodding daft sod... where's my brolly? I need the loo!, etc.', but otherwise the funny was actually funny, the sad was actually sad and... Fantastic - I've never heard it summarised better than that. It does try quite hard to be very proper and English sometimes.
- OH DUMBLEDORE. I'd given up trying not to cry when they all started raising their wands. I thought it was beautiful.
- Jim Broadbent! Maggie Smith! GAMBON! RICKMAN! Just awesome.
And one extra note - poor Bonnie Wright. She's a pretty little thing, but she's just not very good, is she? I don't know, is it just me? I just found her extremely wooden and unconvincing. Shame.
Bonnie Wright is the weak link. Which is probably to do with the fact that, so far, her role has extended to little beyond walking past Harry and raising her eyebrows, and the fact that she seems to be the only one of the cast of kids with no acting aspirations whatsoever. She doesn't even look right! 'Sometimes I think we sort too soon,' indeed!
You're on your own with old Feltbeats, though. He'd be such a good actor, if it wasn't for his awkward face.

There, I'm done. :D
