It's kind of wierd when I post

It’s the holiday season, it’s coming up on 4 AM, and for some reason I want to update my lj. Does anyone even read this thing anymore?

Well if you do, here is some stuff for you to read:

For those of you that read my last entry and are tuning back in, I took exam 1 again. I was given a preliminary grade of fail. My actual grade (the preliminary grade is just an estimate based on my raw score and the estimated scale) should be getting here in the next 2 weeks. The odds of my final grade being a pass when my preliminary grade was a fail are slim. I will be spending some time over the next few weeks revamping my résumé, and applying to new jobs. I am also considering going back to school and getting an accounting degree.

In other news, things have been irritatingly quite. The weather is taking its toll on the attendance numbers for Ultimate, and it has been hard to get enough people to play. We had to cancel last week’s game, and this week’s game is also going to be a bust. I don’t like the idea of exercising for the sake of exercising, so Ultimate is the only exercise I get, I also find it to be a big stress reliever, so I hate it when I don’t get to play.

Phil was here this past weekend. I met him at Penn Station on Friday, and we spent the day in the city. We saw The Tree, and then ate lunch at the Heartland Brewery at the Empire State Building. We were both excited to find the Seasonal Voyage on the menu, which is a sampler of all the house beers and then some of the seasonal beers. By the end of the meal, we were both very pleased with ourselves. Once our food and drink were done, we headed out to Toys R Us in Times Square. Then we caught the LIRR back to Massapequa Park, had some All American (for those of you that are not from around here, they are the greatest burgers and fries anywhere), and headed over to Michelle’s house for her party.

Two Sundays before last, Beth and I went into the city to take pictures. It had been way too long since I took out my camera and took photos. So this was a welcome change of pace. We wandered around and snapped pictures of all the holiday trim the city puts on this time of year. It was good times.

I am going through the usual holiday motions: trying to think of presents for people, buying said presents, getting annoyed by increased traffic on the road, getting bored by decreased traffic in the car dealership, avoiding the crowds in the stores, going to holiday parties, forgetting about the spiritual part of the season, the sort of stuff most people do this time of year. I guess that is about it. I would write about taking my teammates to Hooters as a thank you for showing up, but there isn’t much in the way of story there, and the entry is getting too long.
