Two books coming around next month! (August 2009)

Writing seems to be the easiest part of the whole process of publication. The rest is complicated... first you must send it in for review, and if they like it, sure, they will ask you to publish it through them. IF not though, you must send out a billion and a half query letters out to everyone and their sister publisher, and perhaps one... just one... may read and find it marketable to begin with working in their house of authors.

Then, comes... contracts, copy editing, revising, more copy editing, proofreading...and then, a cover design, perhaps a photo for the book and a small bio of the read, as well as the author.

And if you are fortunate to find a publishing house they will promote your books all over the place, and spend hundreds of thousands for your book to be noticed. Book signings, reading, possibly television talk shows, radio (NPR) interviews, and of course, feedback from fans.

The feedback can be both, negative and positive, but that is the price one pays to sell a few of his books.

Well, on that note, "Sworn Perception- The Journal of the Distorted Poet" Manuscript is completely finished, besides a cover design. As for "The Dreamer is Still Asleep- Short Stories for Those Haunted" has yet to be finished, but I am still working my buns off day and night to get it released before the end of August, and trust me...it will be.

So expect them. The reason why I wanted two published instead of just one this time around, is because (not that I have this blood in me) in Chinese cultures, four rhymes with a Mandarin term
Dor', meaning death... In Chinese cultures, you never greet another with anything that has sets of four in them. Three, five, and anything else, but never four. And it is a very bad sign in their culture.

And being a writer, I am at sometimes superstitious. For example, I always place my right shoe on before my left one...always. Do not ask me why, but that is a small example of the oddity when it comes down to it. Sometimes I take my binoculars, place my journal that I have been writing a story in across the room, and I mean completely across from the room that I am in, while typing the work into manuscript form with binoculars. I find the space between filled with an energy that we will never see, and while I do this, I feel that it creates a more powerful formation inside the manuscript, before becoming the published material itself. There is indeed plenty more...but I will not get into that for now.

So, Expect the books to be out before the end of next month, and have a wonderful 4th of July, if I do not read anything from you. Take care forever, and I shall write soon (or sooner).
