DC Comics is about to try something ambitious. Next month, all of it's books are going to jump one year into the future - where we will pick up the stories, and have to learn what happened to our superheroes during that year over the course of the next year - in a weekly title called 52.
It's been so long since I posted anything here, I feel like that's where I am in continuity - I need to simply jump in "one year later". And then, if I am to do justice to any of the stories that have taken place while I was on hiatus, I need to fill in the gaps over time, and not all in one big "last time on Dynasty", blurb before starting. So that's what I'm going to do - and here we are (not quite) one year later .
Dreaming
Last night, as we crawled into bed, Chris said that he had this weird feeling, and he wasn't going to get a good night's sleep - he could tell. Ten minutes later, he was passed out and snoring, while I watched television. When I finally crashed around 11:30, I wondered about his weird feeling, and if it was affecting his dreams.
It affected mine.
All through the night, I kept returning to the same place in my dreams, accompanied by a spaniard and a young blond boy. I knew them well, even though I can't tell you who they might be, but the weird thing was, we knew we were moving through time, even though we kept returning to the same physical space. Also, there were different versions of the spaniard. Sometimes he was there as a young man, or a middle aged man or an ancient. At times, several were there together, in heated debate about what time it was, where we were and what we should do. It was all very confusing, and in the end, it was me who didn't sleep well.
