Friday Notes...

Jun 10, 2005 15:22

It's 3:30 on Friday afternoon, and I'm having trouble focusing on getting any kind of work done whatsoever. It's a gorgeous day out. I went to lunch with my friend Rob and had sushi in Japantown and walked and talked, and it really was like pulling teeth to get us to come back into the office for the rest of the afternoon. Conveniently, I had to run a block or two over to Employee Health so that they could tell me if I had TB or not (we have to get tested annually). Thankfully, I don't have it. On the way, over there, I caught up with my friend Stef on the phone. On the way back, I got a big hug from enhydrasf, who I spotted across the street waiting for the bus. God that man gets more and more handsome every time I see him - but then, you all probably knew that already.

This weekend, I've come down to the wire, and have to make a decision. As most of you probably already know, my room mate, the ubiquitous Joe Cavallaro moved to Kansas at the end of March. His relocation package, thankfully, paid his half of the rent through the end of our lease, which is June 30. I have to figure out what I do now. I've run through a couple of possible room mates already, I thought that my best friend Al would move in. He came and stayed for a while, but then decided (not because of me, I dont' think), but he decided to head back east again to explore other opportunities. My friend Nathan (who's website is down at the moment, but I put the link in anyway) wants to move back to town, and is interested, but not ready. A couple of lesser prospects have materialized and dissappeared in the last week or so also. It's an expensive apartment. But it's a great place to be, lots of room, really convenient, and I like where I live. I'm not sure that I'm the easiest person in the world to live with, but I think I'm pretty reasonable. But the actitivity of figuring out what to do here is taking up most of my time....

So it comes down to this:

Anyone know somebody who's looking to live in the Castro? Or conversely, anyone one know someone in the Castro who's looking for a room mate?
