Last Week's Comics Reviewed...

I read a lot of comics. That much is becoming painfully clear. Having an opinion on each of them, well…. Let’s face it, I am kind of opinionated, even if I don’t always force my views on others. Here, a week later, is my take on what I read last week. For some books I’m erring on the side of brevity.

Action Comics (Superman comics in general): I havent been able to read a Superman title in a very long time without being bored to tears. That said, I'm giving two of the titles a shot starting this month since Gail Simone is writing one book and Ed Benes is drawing another. These two kicked ass on Birds of Prey and their cred with me is enough to at least TRY the books out for a spin.

Green Arrow: I love the character and the family aspect of the book rocks. My qualm with the series right now is that Ollie is being written more like a guy with a gimmick instead of a hero. I'm also tired of seeing him get the snot kicked out of him on a regular basis. The Riddler beat the crap out of him? Please.

Wonder Woman: Im finding my way back to this book after an extended period away. I've never warmed to the character of Cassie largely because I hated the way Byrne used his run to ignore so many aspect's of Perez's storyline to create his own characters. I'm part of the crowd that believes if there was to be a new WonderGirl, it should have been Vanessa. So she's a demi-god? Ok I guess.

Outsiders: This book would have been offically off my list this month but the return of Donna just saved it by a hair. It'll be great to have her back where she belongs.
