Last Week's Comics Reviewed...

I read a lot of comics. That much is becoming painfully clear. Having an opinion on each of them, well…. Let’s face it, I am kind of opinionated, even if I don’t always force my views on others. Here, a week later, is my take on what I read last week. For some books I’m erring on the side of brevity.

ACTION COMICS #827 - I don’t think that I can follow all the Superman titles for any length of time. It just takes too much effort and there is painfully little given back in return. Something roped me in for this small series (the Eclipso/Captain Marvel angle) but I’m heading for the hills at the first sign of confusion or boredom.

Funny enough. This one SENT me for the hills. I like Eclipso. I like.. no love... Superman... but the whole thing... meh... just didn't work for me.

RANN-THANAGAR WAR #1 (OF 6) - Caught the L.E.G.I.O.N. reference too... more than a little curious.

OUTSIDERS #23 - Love where both Outsiders and Teen Titans are going with all this. Braniac... Donna... I just hope they land it all as well as its starting.

DISTRICT-X #13 - District X had so much potential... and it just keeps falling flat... how can so much good go bad... and how can NYX get canceled first...

MARVEL NEMESIS-IMPERFECTS #1 (OF 6) - I agree... can't say just how much I have liked Pak so far. Liked Endsong quite a bit (good mix of modern and past continuities) and I like the idea of it all... I'd love to be sure who the Alien Abductors are....

EXCALIBUR #13 - I really wish they'd speed it up too... I've dropped it and added back twice and hunted down the issues between more than once. I like the characters in it... New and Old... I just wish they'd go somewhere... soon. Also, wish they'd they drop the I'm a mutant machine idea... why can't she just be a partially programmed sentinel... sigh...

FANTASTIC FOUR #526 - I've really liked the run... and the idea of having some classic stories bubble back up... but the I'll turn the City to Gold and swap dreams with you so you can Time Travel for me thing... uh... what?

ASTONISHING X-MEN #10 - Liked it... wanted not to... like most of Whedon's run... but... Chuck the Telepath versus... a machine? Uhm... ok. Why not just have Karima EMP, nanite or sneeze at it and destroy it?

Still good stuff... sounds like our Reading Lists are REALLY similar but I think we've discussed that before.

PS... my last entry has Young Avengers #4 spoilers in it... you may want to skip it... if you read me... heh.
