Halloween, Birthday, Wonderland Wedding, Christmas Ball 2011

Halloween @Macquarie is always a colorful and lively event. This year, we didn't get to defend our title for the best decorated area, but seeing the kids enjoy checking out our props and decors, we were vindicated. We replicated the Sunnyside Daycare scene from Toy Story, which to this date I still have not watched, not even one of the three Toy Story films.

As we can see, people's creativity showed from the built-from-scratch decors and colorful ideas turned into the bright and slightly messy (on purpose) daycare center. More pictures on this album.

That was October 29. The following day James and I went home to Iloilo so I could spend my birthday at home with my family. We dined out almost every lunch and dinner, and even played a few games of bowling. I still can't get over how inexpensive bowling at the province is - only Php 60 per game for automated ten-pin bowling, plus Php 10 for shoe rental! Compare that to Php 140 per game at SM Bowling Center or Skybowl at Robinson's Galleria, plus Php 30-45 for shoe rental. And the facilities in our provincial bowling center (St. Elizabeth Bowling Alley) were just as high-tech, even newer!

Anyway, I treated my family to lunch at Ponsyon by Breakthrough restaurant. Seafood here is not as cheap as the restaurants by the beaches, but still cheaper than in Manila I guess.

My dad chronicled our eat-outs in this album.

Celebrated with HP friends at Kirin Chinese Dining Restaurant at the Fort. Thanks for the cake! And the teaser mamon!

As for my Macq officemates, Anna, Gelo, Ren and I celebrated together by treating the team to food delivered from CCME Homemade Foodstuff.

Mine and James' joint birthday celebration with college friends at Papa John's Pizza, Robinson's Galleria Veranda followed...

Also in November we witnessed an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding - the celebration of Robert and Zeri Ong. It was our first time to attend an outdoor garden wedding, luckily the weather cooperated nicely. The decorations were fabulous and true to the theme. The food was delicious, too!

The next event is our very-early company Christmas Ball at Dusit Thani hotel. Food was way much better than last year's, thank God. The band was better, too, I think, since they were able to play modern, catchy, lively, popular dance tunes. We were able to join the raffle this time because we arrived early, so early that we got to take advantage of the photo booth when not a lot of people were lining up yet and just starting to arrive at the holding area. They didn't let people in before 7:30, and we arrived at past 6. Last year we arrived so late that the people were already settled inside the function room, so we were not able to join the raffle. Anyway, I didn't win any prize, not even a minor one... not like that was a surprise. My luck of winning promos/contests back then were always via TV promos/contests. I've never had my name drawn in a raffle yet.

All dolled up for the ball...

Cocktails while waiting for the doors to open...

Our boss grooving to the tunes of DNA (the band).

Fine dining: main course is Australian rib-eye, yum!
