New York City Comic Con Hotel information VERSION 2.0! XD

Apr 23, 2010 13:12

Strongbad has been SERIOUS distraction this week. I've kinda hiatused(?) myself from facebook these past few weeks. It just started seeming like too much of a job. :p phhhht to that. I'll prolly go back to reading it in a little while. I'm just not feeling it right now.

Also, I'm home from Salt Lake City. It was a whirlwind of a trip. Lots of stuff happened.

I'm TRYING to go back and get caught up on my F-list from April 13th thru the 18th (trying = opening up the page, but getting distracted by watching StrongBad emails) so if any of you have any entries you'd REALLY like me to see from that time (ESPECIALLY if they are TMNT fics) feel free to comment or note me and I'll read your entry :D

Meanwhile, I have more information on NYC Comic Con!

Ok, remember This entry? I FINDED A BETTER AND CHEAPER HOTEL! I have 1 room reserved (with 2 full-sized beds) at Best Western Convention Center Hotel (address is 522 West 38Th Street; New York, NY 10018) It's actually CLOSER to the Convention Center than the Holiday Inn. (Makes me wonder if NYCC has some sort of sponsorship deal with the Hotels that are listed on their official page) They have free breakfast, and free Wi-Fi (I called to make sure).
UPDATED (08/26/2010) with this entry
Here is what everyone will owe:

Jenn & Mica - Oct 6th thru Oct 11th (5 Nights) $275.60 Each
Robina & Jem - Oct 7th thru Oct 11th (4 nights) $173.00 Each
Claire & Jordan - Oct 8th thru Oct 10th (2 nights) $64.40 Each

My math is as follows -

$175.20 + $30.00 taxes = 205.20 - $1026 total

I know I estimated the taxes a little high (It's actually $27.612 for the 14.75% sales tax, and $10.293 for the occupancy tax) but I wanted to estimate a little high in case I missed a tax or two (priceline.com mentioned a $3.50 per night city tax, but I didn't see that on bestwestern.com) Is that okay? Also, they MIGHT charge us an extra $10 per person per night, but I dont think they will. I'm not sure. I will find out at check in. If that is the case, I will refigure the fees at that time and let you all know.

Oct 6th - Jen&M ~ 1/2 each ($102.60(2) = $205.20)
Oct 7th - Jen,M,R,&Jem ~ 1/4 Each ($51.30(4) = $205.20)
Oct 8th - Jen,M,R,Jem,Jor,&C ~ 1/6 Each + or Minus bed fee ($35.20(4) + $32.20(2) = $205.20)
Oct 9th - Jen,M,R,Jem,Jor,&C ~ 1/6 Each + or Minus bed fee ($35.20(4) + $32.20(2) = $205.20)
Oct 10th - Jen,M,R,&Jem ~ 1/4 Each ($51.30(4) = $205.20)

Jenn & Mica ~ $102.60 + $51.30 + $35.20 + $35.20 + $51.30 = $275.60 Each
Robina & Jem ~ $51.30 + $35.20 + $35.20 + $51.30 = $173.00 Each
Jordan & Claire ~ $32.20 + $32.20 = $64.40 Each

With the "bed fee" I simply added a dollar to each of the 4 peeps who will be sleeping in the beds, and subtracted $2 from each of the 2 peoples who will be sleeping on the floor. Does that sound fair?

I think it's all good, but if you have any problems or changes let me know. (or if you spot any problems with my math. Also, all the rules still apply from my last post about this :)
