Turns out, they're going to make film adaptations to several books I'm interested in:

The Chronicles of Narnia (TLtWatW)- Dec.9 (you probably already heard about this one)
Eragon - begins filming Aug.1
Artemis Fowl - in development (EEEE!!!!!)
His Dark Materials - 2007 (haven't read this one yet, but it's been on my list)
The Spiderwick

When comparing the entire three books of His Dark Materials to the first three books of HP, HDM is superior in almost every way. Unfair, since HP just starts to pick up in #3, but it's the truth.

Need I say that I'm simultaniously excited and deathly afraid for all of these films? I breathed a little easier when I learned that Weta was doing Narnia, but the back of mind is still screaming "DISNEY... BE AFRAID"

I know....I'm kinda worried that DISNEY is doing it, but I still gonna have to go see it....then I'll decide whether to flame the mouse or not ^_^ Still, it's exciting!! At least there are GOOD movies coming out (as in creative, not-your-average-storyline movies) It's getting kinda sparse at the boxoffice.
