To help speed up your first day at Orientation, please plan on submitting a digital photo of yourself for your MICARD (your student identification card) by August 12th. This will help you avoid potential long lines at the MICARD station, and by doing this, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $50 College Store gift certificate. Using a digital camera, have someone take a picture of you against a solid background. The picture should be only of yourself from the neck up. Since ID cards are fairly small, we need to have as much of your face clearly visible in the picture as possible. Please do not wear sunglasses, hats, or other props for the photo. Almost all digital cameras save images in a format called JPG. This is the format we want you to use. Please use the LOW image size setting on your camera. This typically is 640 X 480 Pixels. Take the picture in PORTRAIT orientation (vertically.) Once you have taken the picture and are satisfied that it is clear and sharp, transfer it to your computer. You can then send it as ( ... )
