[Maiga Series] Magician, Unchanging, & Jirou's First Crush

Jun 22, 2011 18:51

It's weird that I get to update more when school has started yet I couldn't write anything when I was on break. o-o But anyhow, these "Maiga" drabbles (based on Arashi being five brothers in the 'My Girl' PV) have been written since, hmm, a long time ago. LOL I decided to post three of them now because I just wrote the third one this morning. :'D

These are quite light-hearted drabbles, so I hope you enjoy them!
Happy reading~! ♥

TITLE: Magician
CHARACTERS: Shirou (Nino), Gorou (Jun), Jirou (Sho)
RATING: G
LENGTH: 745 words
DISCLAIMER: I own not Arashi and never will. Premise from "My Girl" PV.
SUMMARY: To Shirou and Gorou, their beloved Jirou-nii is a Magician.

Jirou is a very kind brother.

Both Shirou and Gorou think so when their dear older brother picks them up from school. On hot summer days when the heat is too overpowering and they don't want to walk home from school anymore, Jirou always had a cool, refreshing juicebox for each of them--just when they ask for it--enough to give them energy and freshness to last the rest of the way home.

"Ne, Gorou-chan" Shirou told Gorou, entwining his little stubby fingers in Gorou's tinier, less stubby ones. They waited for Jirou under a tree near the school entrance. "Don't you wonder how Jirou-nii keeps popping out juiceboxes from nowhere?"

"Hmm," Gorou pondered, puffing his cheeks, slightly pinker than Shirou's due to the summer heat. His eyes twinkled in delight when he said, "Maybe he's a magician?"

"Ooh," Shirou's eyes sparkle as much as Gorou's at the thought. His mouth first opened wide in shock, then curved to a somewhat devious teddy bear smile. He thought he could save so much of his allowance for future games if he kept magic-ing things up--the thought of magic-ing games up itself not coming to his mind. "I wanna be like that, too."

"Shirou! Gorou!" Their heads quickly turn in unison to the source of the familiar voice, eyes still sparkling with joy, mouths extended to each ear in a big grin. An arm waved wildly in the air from afar.

"Jirou-nii!" They ran to him excitedly, voices high-pitched in excitement.

"Did you wait long?" he asked once the two kids arrived in front of him.

"Yeah, you're so slow, Jirou-nii." Shirou complained, crossing his arms across his chest, to which Gorou panicked. Gorou knew you shouldn't complain when you don't mean to.

"No, no!" Gorou wildly shook his head in disagreement, trying with utmost sincerity to show his Jirou-nii that Shirou didn't mean it. "That's not true, Jirou-nii! You were right on time!"

Jirou laughed, touched at his youngest brother's earnest look in his eyes. He uttered a "Thank you, Gorou," then patted Gorou's hair, to which Gorou's pink cheeks flushed even pinker in delight. The youngest loved small bouts of affirmation from any of his brothers. "Shall we go, then?"

"Okay!"

And so, they walked home, hand in hand--with Gorou to Jirou's left and Shirou to his right. Jirou was bombarded with stories about today's lessons and playtime. Shirou even teased Gorou about this girl in class that kept stuffing candies under his desk. A sly 'I bet she likes you.' was followed by an earnest 'You can't know that!' The following bickering was deafened by a soothing laughter, followed by an 'Okay, okay, you guys. You can stop now.'

As usual, halfway home, the twins would lose energy and complain about the heat. Shirou would start dragging his feet in defiance to the heat, while even the sweet Gorou would knit his thicker-than-most-kids eyebrows together.

"Do you guys want something yummy?" Jirou would ask, immediately turning depressed faces to bright, twinkling-eyed excited ones. He didn't need an audial answer for a reply. "Close your eyes, then."

The children obliged, knowing what comes next.

"Now count to five, then open your eyes."

"One," they counted in unison. They could feel the excitement for what's to come.
"Two," they hear metal clanking. It's Jirou-nii summoning his magic wand.
"Three," they hear a large thump. It's Jirou-nii stomping his foot forward to cast a spell.
"Four," they hear it again.
"Five!" Upon opening their eyes, they see right in front of them are their most favorite juice boxes, the yellow, pineapple-flavored juice for Shirou, the purple, grape-flavored one for Gorou.

"Thank you, Jirou-nii!" They shout together high pitched excitement. They received pats on the head from Jirou before he turned to some giant metal box.

"See? I told you he's a magician!" Gorou exclaimed after drinking a slurpful, eyes shining bright with glee. His guess was right!

"Yeah. One day I'll be a better magician than he is!" Shirou beamed, slurping on his pineapple juice. "I'll even magic up some paint stuff for Ichi-nii."

"Eeh," Gorou's eyebrows knit together again. "You can't say you'll be better than Jirou-nii!"

"Oh, yeah?"

"Hmm, now what should I get for myself?" Jirou pondered while the two bickered friendly a few steps from him. He stared at the various drinks in his "magical" source of juiceboxes, the vending machine.

TITLE: Unchanging
CHARACTERS: Ichirou (Ohno), Jirou (Sho), Saburou (Aiba)
RATING: G
LENGTH: 584 words
DISCLAIMER: I own not Arashi and never will. Premise from "My Girl" PV.
SUMMARY: Ichirou reflects, upon seeing a photo of their family, how some things need not be changed.

Ichirou has always observed his brothers. One of which he's observed: wherever Jirou went, Saburou certainly followed suit.

Once, they were all having a picnic in the park, sometime before Shirou and Gorou were born. The cherry blossoms were very pretty at the time, falling gracefully in the air like pink snowflakes.

Ichirou remembered taking a walk with Jirou before eating, talking about cherry blossoms as they walked past them. Rather, Jirou was explaining to him how cherry blossoms bloom pink rather than green, how they change color during seasons and other facts about them. Ichirou listened earnestly, eyes widening upon hearing dead people having been buried under cherry blossom trees. He had a soft spot for ghosts and other lingering spirits.

Saburou was with their mother then, or so they thought until they heard a loud thud behind them.

"Saburou!" Jirou instantly yelled upon seeing the small, green-clothed figure lying facedown on the ground. His small voice cracked in half panic, half shock, full worry. Not leaving even a second to escape him, he ran towards the small boy in green. Ichirou hesitantly followed suit, not sure what to do. Call out for help? Find their parents? Go bring him to a hospital?

But Jirou remained composed, though his small innocent face was still scrunched up with worry, helping the green-clothed boy sit-up. "Are you okay?"

Saburou was almost in tears, not much caused by the pain of getting his knee scratched on the ground, but more on the embarrassment of having been seen with his face flat on the floor. "J-jirou-nii…"

"Don't worry, it's okay. It's okay." Jirou comforted him, wrapping him in a warm, tight hug. Saburou started crying loud until their father came to their aid. After all was fixed, they had a wonderful lunch while viewing cherry blossoms, just as shown in the picture the 30-year-old Ichirou smiled at tenderly.

Ichirou closed the book shut with a smile on his flace, pleased with the memories reclaimed.

"Nii-san," Jirou called to him, having just entered the living room. "We're done putting things back in place. Gorou and Shirou just left to buy some groceries"

"Unh." Ichirou nodded, standing up to pat his younger brother on the back. "Good work."

"JIROU-CHAN! JIROU-CHAN!" a loud voice exclaimed through the hall together with sounds of shuffling feet. A bright smile brightened up the room as the rainbow Saburou entered, only to be replaced by a look of surprise as he slipped on the living room mat. A loud thud sounded through the room.

"Saburou!!" Jirou hurriedly came to his brother's side. Ichirou stayed in place, angling himself to further see how Saburou was.

"O-ouch…" Saburou whined as he sat up.

"Are you okay?"

Saburou giggled, cheery as ever as he smiled to Jirou. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Did you hit your head hard? Are you feeling nauseous? Should we get you to the hospital?"

"Quit being such a worrywart. I'm okay, Jirou-chan! But hey, look! I found your Yatterman costume~"

Watching the two bicker about which matter was more important ("But you looked just like Yatterman in this!" "We should send you to the nearest clinic."), Ichirou nodded to himself. Yeah. Some things never change. But perhaps one thing he has realized over the years is that wherever Jirou went, Saburou certainly followed suit, but Jirou will always and always keep an eye on his brother, keenly watching out for any caution, to quickly react to whatever situation.

And it was good that way.

TITLE: Jirou's First Crush
CHARACTERS: Ichirou (Ohno), Jirou (Sho), Saburou (Aiba), Shirou (Nino), Gorou (Jun)
RATING: G
LENGTH: 158 words
DISCLAIMER: I own not Arashi and never will. Premise from "My Girl" PV.
SUMMARY: Shirou finds a picture in Jirou's wallet. The rest go ballistic.
PRE-NOTES: This was written for fun just to see if I can make things clear even without descriptions, especially for dialogues. I think I sometimes get draggy with my descriptions, so here's a little practice I did. I hope you don't get confused since I have no descriptions here whatsoever. ^^;; Do tell me what you think, if ever you have any to share. :)

"Hey, Jirou-nii, this girl in the picture, is she your girlfriend?"

"W-what, Shirou? O-o-o-of course not! G-gabriella, s-she's just--"

"What's a girlfriend, Ichi-nii? A girl who is a friend?"

"…"

"You should break up with her, you know. You'll lose your money if you get a girlfriend."

"T-that's not the point, Shirou. Hey, wait. L-let me explain!"

"JIROU-CHAN? GIRLFRIEND? NO JIROU-CHAN! NOOOO! I WON'T LET YOU GO TO ANYONE ELSE!"

"Jirou-nii's gonna go somewhere else... without us?"

"N-no, Gorou. I won't go anywhere else! Don't cry! By the way, a girlfriend is--"

"Someone who'll totally just get money from you."

"Stop that, Shirou! How can you say such things at that age? Anyways, a girlfriend is--"

"SOMEONE JIROU-CHAN CAN'T HAVE. HE ALREADY HAS US."

"Stop overreacting, Saburou!"

"BUT--BUT JIROU-CHAN DON'T YOU LOVE ME ANYMORE?"

"Stop that! You're creeping me out!"

"Jirou-nii! Don't--sniff--don't go!"

"JIROU-CHAN!"

"Buy me the latest Zelda instead of getting a girlfriend."

"Sigh. Nii-san… Help me?"

"…"

"Nii-san?"

"…"

"..."

"… Ah, this is real good paint material."

AFTERNOTES: So how were my three drabbles? I quite enjoyed making them. ♥ I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I did while writing. :3

About Magician
Whenever I try to imagine chibi Jun and chibi Nino as Gorou and Shirou I just ugggh melt from utter cute. ;o; And yeah... it's kinda weird juiceboxes come out from vending machines. But oh well. LOL

About Unchanging
Yeah, I can't remove my bias for Sakuraiba even with Maiga. :'D; Still. Ugh. Utter cute. ♥

About Jirou's First Crush
Uhm. Yeah. XDD I had reeaal fun with this. I just wrote it this morning while the other two I've written weeks and weeks ago. ^^ I find this the most refreshing to write and read out of the three. xD
I can totally imagine Aiba--er, Saburou bawling his eyes out while clawing Sho-er, Jirou--to not date Gabriella. LOLOLOL
Gorou is so innocent as a kid. I love him like that. ♥
Did anyone else sense Nino Shirou just blabbing about money in the most "discreet" 'dont spend money on someone else. buy me a game instead.' manner possible? LOL~
Ichirou is--Ichirou is love. ♥

Anyhow, there goes the first batch of my Maiga drabbles! ♥ I think I'm bound to make some more. xD
