Into the Wild!

Not quite... As some of you know or wondered where i've been for the past full week; I went to Oregon with a bunch of friends for Jessy's birthday. The 10 hour journey started on monday morning at 9:30 Jessy was the first to drive since it was his moms van. ANYWAY fast forward 10 gruelling hours and having to figure our how to put on chains later. We arive at oregon and we're all pretty happy despite it being too dark to actually do anything the rest of the day. So we check in at the info. center and we make our way to our Yurt. Ok before i go any further let me explain to you what everyone thought was a yurt by the description they gave us "A cabin with Cable" and since we reserved it for 9 people should be relatively big right? Wrong... absolutely wrong. We rolled up on what looked to be a Tent. We all thought this had to be wrong; it just had to! What happened to our cabin! Well we all get out of the car and take in the lump of gray/tan that we were gonna spend the next five days in and reluctantly make our way inside. When we make it in we were graced with a bunkbed, a futon, an eating table with two chairs, and a smaller table... there had to be something wrong this most definitely cant fit nine full grown men. SO, justin and jesse went to talk with the people at the info. center. and the rest of us just sit there wondering what the hell we were gonna do. Justin and jessy got back about 10 minutes later saying the people who checked us into our Yurt took our money and showed us where it was, "where just volunteers" so they couldnt actually do anything. So we were stuck there for the night. Believe it or not something happened as we unloaded all our crap from the cars, we started to fall in love with the damn tent. We even went so far as to name it that very night "Merk Yurt" and if you're wondering how we fit 8 grown men into three beds, sardine style face to foot three to a bed. Not the most comfortable way of doing things but hey, at least no one was cold... i dont think. That night we went to sleep at like 8... no one really knows why; i suppose it was the driving. The next morning after a healthy breakfast of like... Goldfish and water we went to explore the camp a bit and shower. Let me take a quick second to tell you about the showers; if god were a mountain man and wanted to take the hottest shower in the world, he would go to those showers. The weather was pretty bad windy with a bit of rain, but because of the wind seemed like a lot of rain and kind of hurt at times. Us being the idiots we are decided to visit the beach during a storm (go figure) Regardless of it being rainy the beach was still beautiful think of one of those old samurai movies with the waves crashing on the shore constantly with blades flashing, exactly like that. So we walked down the beach for a good while until we approached a part where we couldnt go down simply because we were stopped by the ocean, there was no more beach. So we turned back and went to Merk Yurt. You're going to have to forgive me because i dont really remember what we did most of the day so that was the highlight of that one :P
The next day it was still raining and we decided on going hiking; which was rather fun because it was kind of challenging. After all us people from the city dont like getting wet so we were avoiding all water contact at all cost, with the exception of john because he had some godly work boots... damn him. Anyway, we made our way down this beaten path that was obviously made so people who dont know jack shit about hiking could go hiking. We came upon a spot where the river alongside it actually just ate the path so we had to find a way around it to continue, jessy made a small bridge type of thing with sticks and such so we made it through; All of us with the exception of david who lost his shoe in the mud. Then we made it to the end of the path and had to turn back with slight dissapointment (well in my eyes anyway, i love to hike and that... well wasnt good enough for me) and ended the day.
The next day i dont believe much happened except for the game of truth or dare... yeah... truth or dare... it was brandons idea. Anyway i only remember some of the good dares, Tyler Allen dared V-man do dip his ass in a puddle which was quite a humorous sight, I was put in the reverse cow girl for 30 seconds in my draws, john had to lick his own ass juice, jesse had to draw a smiley face on the back of his moms van with his balls and quite a bit more... lets just say it was pretty savage. We also went on a hike down the road to another beach where jessy and john were almost eaten by the ocean, i dont think i'll ever forget john screaming haha.
the next and more or less last day was the polar bear challenge between Justin and Jesse. For those of you who dont know what the polar bear challenge is, two grown men jump into the ocean in nothing but thier draws (i think its supposed to be naked but no one wanted to see them naked) So we're all on the beach and justin and jesse are standing there in thier draws and they walk hand in hand into the water. and run out like 4 seconds later resulting in a tie. Brandon khan was dissapointed in this so he began to disrobe and challenged them again. They all three went in jusin came out about 10 seconds later and brandon and jesse stayed for another 20 seconds before justin tries for round 2... and runs right back out. after a bit jessy retires and Brandon is victorious (go to his myspace to his videos its there) That night we all went to sleep kinda early after a lot of shit got thrown in the darkness resulting in a water bottle hitting the side of the yurt at full force >.>
the next day we left after much cleaning and another 10 hour drive of death back to stockton and the end of the merk yurt trip. No clue if were ever going back but memories were had there and thats good enough for me.
