I want my guitar tablature back!

Why in the world has the legality issue of trading music bleeded over into guitar tabs? I am tired of getting "This site is temporarily closed while the question of its legality is being decided" messages while I'm trying to figure out how to play a song. Trading music, and teaching people how to play music, is like apples and oranges. You can't keep people from telling others what notes are in a song, can you?! I don't know if tabs will go away for good, but I'm certainly annoyed that I haven't been able to learn new songs for awhile now. Sorry for the rant...
