What a day...
I think I'll end up killing one of the machines tonight sooner or later. I've had either the planer, jig saw, band saw, both table saws, drill press or the router running just about all day.
The yurt for leimon_malakoi is coming along nicely, if not a little too slow for my taste, but we've come up with a few improvements over the previous design and we're working through the details.
I poke at Jenn about the generation of the yurt revisions. I call it a Gen # with a J... so Jen 1, Jen 2, etc. I think we're up to a Jen 2 rev b now.
I've also decided I'm done using this crap pine for making yurts. Generally, all I can find is 2 common (one of the lowest grades) pine which sucks donkey balls for our purpose. (can I say donkey balls? crap... I said it again) I found a source for decently priced furniture grade poplar and we are looking into finding a source for douglas fir also. Both are a soft hard wood with NO KNOTS!...
We're also fixing the 19' yurt as well.... what a PITA that's being with having to build a new roof ring and rafters. Some freak'n genious (me) decided to use 32 rafters rather than 24. I need to smack that bonehead.
