what do you think about the election?
When you bring up politics and the election the three E's are most important to me Education, Economy, and Equal Rights. Bush cut Education when we should have done more to help it, the No child left behind Act is ridiculous and impossible to meet standards, you want them to have 100 percent, but then your going to cut funding and try and help them out a little bit. College has gone up 14 percent this year, and 40 percent over the decade, when is it going to stop. Now moving on to the economy, Bush has shipped our jobs over seas doing two major things. One it takes away our jobs and two it takes away the jobs of the middle east forcing them to turn to the terrorist for food and shelter. This creates the hatred sparked by terrorism, sounds like hes creating the problem not solving it. Yes I agree with going over there in the first place but enough is enough. We need help here at home. Third and final is Equal Rights, 10 years after so many gay deaths caused by violence their is still no anti-discrimination or equal protection legislation for homosexuals. Marriage is a right everyone should be entitled to. Marriage should not be defined as a man and a woman, it should be defined as a vow of love between two people. Im gay and I have been in a serious relationship for over a year. I dont choose to be gay I was born that way, blacks are born blacks how come they have rights? Lol. Its just not fair everyone in this country should have full and equal rights, I thought that is one of the core values the constitution and this country were founded upon. I could go on forever about these 3 issues and more but I think you got the just of what I think. These reasons are the reasons Bush needs to get out of office and Kerry should take over. Yeah Kerry's not a strong Democrat as I would like him to be, but when you bring up these 3 important topics I would rather have Kerry handle them, opposed to Bush. Now what do you think?
