Mixed dreams for mixed nuts. Wait! What do you mean I already did something similar?

BAAF was fun and a little disappointing at the same time. I worked very hard on my Hisoka costume and got that to look near perfect for the con. On friday morning I walked to the train station and met up with Pod and Dan but not before getting a few stares from narrow minded idiots. We got there and didn't have to worry about a registration line. HEAVENLY RETRIBUTION FOR OTAKON! But the universe kicked me in the ass again by making us wait an hour to get into the dealers room. We finally got in and I felt like a woman. Sorry ladies but I honestly went crazy with buying stuff. I bought the Cat Soup liquid cover edition, sCRYed volume 2, King of Bandits Jing volume 2, Samurai Deeper Kyo volume 2, Ranma 1/2 manga 23, two HunterxHunter soundtracks, a Gon pin(HxH), and sCRYed manga 4(bought it saturday but who cares?). Then we went to the Anime Idol competition. We filled out our forms and wanted to be called. There was just as many people there as there was at Otakon so I thought I had just as much chance of being picked to present again. I was so excited that I would have a second chance but neither Pod or my application was picked. I would have been fine with this if two people who went up and acted in the first round didn't leave right after they presented! THIS MAY SOUND SELFISH BUT YOU MIGHT HAVE RUINED MY SECOND CHANCE! But on the road of life all directions lead to your destiny. The girl who won was amazing. I got to talk to her and her friend before the contest and then I talked to them yesterday at the voice acting panel. I also talked to Tom Wayland in depth because at other conventions I never really got to talk to him one on one and I'm definitely going to send him a tape. I'll probably make him a tape of what I did at Otakon since he was not there. He just had a stand in pretending to be Tom Wayland. After that we just hung out for a while. We left around 6:30 because of lack of things to do. I came home a little disappointed but hopeful that maybe Tom will come see the fall semester play if I send him a postcard or a flyer. That night while trying to get out of my costume I slightly ripped the right sleeve because the thickness of the fabric paint stiffened the costume but no big deal. I watched some Anime and went to sleep.

I woke up afraid I overslept but I started the day exactly when I wanted to at 7 a.m. I got cleaned up and dressed up as Hisoka again rip and all. Josh came over and we went to the train station. We met up with Pod, Dan, CheZi and Sal. We went to the con and waited an hour+ to get into the dealers room. The only thing I wanted to get yesterday was gone. All the con shirts sold out. No big deal I guess. Then we met up with Adam and the Legendary Jersiah. I've always wanted to meet Jersiah otherwise known as Mike to common people. I was almost expecting someone different but it was definitely the Jersey I've talked to for a few years. We waited on line to get into the game room to play DDR for over TWO HOURS! By the time we got in there the voice acting panel was about to start so Josh and I didn't play DDR. We barely got into the voice acting panel and when that ended there was an autograph session. Josh and I waited an hour to get autographs but it was worth it. I met Liam O Brian, Stephanie Sawanaguchi, Lisa Ortiz, Veronica Taylor, Marc Dirason(I think I spelt that wrong but he was a really nice guy and I'm familiar with his work). Last but not least I talked with Mike Sinterniklaas again. He got my last tape I sent him so I was relieved but a little worried as well. If he got it then maybe it wasn't good enough. He did say that out of all the tapes that he received he was only impressed with two. That hurt alot but I didn't want to ask him what was wrong with my tape. I told him my tape wasn't as good as hearing it in reality because I made it to the second round at Otakon with that monologue and he looked surprised. He congratulated me so that left me a little confused but I hope he realized that there was more than what lies on the surface. I also had him call my mother and say "Everytime I think I'm done I'm not done!" to make up for me calling his mother to get NYAV Posts address. I left there happy and sad because I got to meet all of these people I admire but I wish I got to spend more time with them. Then Josh and I met back up with Mike, Adam, CheZi, Sal, Ron and EJ. Pod and Dan disappeared and we had no way of contacting them. We left the convention but I'm glad a few people recognized my character because not that many people are familiar with the series. We all went to Mars 2112 for dinner, which was fun and expensive. What can you expect from a theme restaurant. Then we made a scramble to get to the train we wanted to make and barely made it. Josh, CheZi, Sal and I said our goodbyes to our friends and managed to barely catch the train. We got home and that ended the con for me. I would have liked to gone back today but I'm exhausted and there was only one thing I wanted to see and that was the Anime Idol finals. I hope either one of the people who won over me or Michelle(the girl who won first place at BAAF) wins. I should be there out of respect for the up and coming voice actors but I'm not there right now. There were three voice actors that I didn't get to meet or I wish were there. I didn't get to meet Eric Stuart because he's an elusive bastard and Rachel Lillis and Kristen Nelson weren't there either. I wanted to tell Kristen Nelson about how I did at Otakon because she was a judge at Anime Boston, which I wanted to go to and participate. And I just wanted to plain out thank Rachel Lillis since I think she's great.

That's it for my con report. Pictures will come soon.
