It’s all Kim’s fault. After all she wrote about DDR, I thought, “hey, sounds like fun,” and I bought a DDR box. It came with DDR extreme 2 and a dance pad.
It was sort of annoying at first since I would do OK for the first half of a song but then I’d screw up and not fix it before having my life meter drop to zero. After a DDR session at my house with Scott, Neil, Alex and Kyle, I got the hang of it and it’s been great fun ever since. I play it in the evenings, before I go to bed so I am completely wiped out and fall right asleep when I am done. Hopefully, this won’t have any long-term implications that make me late for work.
Oh, when the aforementioned group came over, not only did we play DDR, but we also played Texas hold-em Poker. This is when I realized…I suck at poker. When we finally finished, we played multiplayer Starcraft and Scott and I finally beat Alex and Neil. This might not seem like much, but those two play Starcraft and Warcraft III constantly so beating them when I just got back in to the game after 4 or so years was very satisfying.
Ah, life is good.
