You know what, though, I will probably end up being one of the few people who cares about the book over the show. I'm sure there are people that felt this way about Wicked back when it was freshly Broadway-ified (yeah, Wicked used to just be a novel...) but they have largely been silence.
Still, High Fidelity is like my bible. You do NOT mess with it... John Cusack et al tried already.
