As I watch the readership of my LJ drop off further and further, because I just use it as a sort of notepad. But occasionally I do post interesting stuff like that SF Chronicle article yesterday.
Anyway, Prom is over and paid for. It was fun (better than staying home for sure) and Audrey was BEAUTIFUL :-). I only wish I hadn't eaten as much pizza so that I could have enjoyed more of the expensive desserts that the hotel laid out for us. And I guess a purple vest for my tuxedo would have been kickass.
Anyway, here is a list of the things that will be sucking my bank account dry for the next... six months or so.
-Internet access in Germany - I'm going to learn my lesson from last time and put a data plan on my cell phone before I go, so that I can prepay bandwidth for something like 1/5th of the price that it costs at the non-contract rate.
-The more I record, the more I feel a need for even more audio inputs to my computer - not just inputs, actually, but balanced inputs with mic preamps. Therefore I will work this summer and acquire a
PreSonus Firepod - they can be found for $300 and up with some hunting.
Besides that I'm kind of starting to run out of space on Galactica, it needs RAID5.
