(no subject)
So I am working at the Virginia Aquarium now. Nothing super exciting like with the amnimals but I did put in a volunteer application for that today as well. My job is working the admissions desk and taking tickets which of course totally utilizes my college education. Hey, at least I am working somewhere I can actually be proud to be a part of (even if it is kinda sucky as a museum). The people I work with are awesome so far and on a more superficial note: there is a little bit of eye candy to make my day interesting. I am getting paid peanuts, less than $6 an hour, but its a foot in the door and a chance to hang out with some cool people. Plus I really like having my own money. And how many people can say "their are sharkies at my work!" (Yes ashley I know, you have at your job oysters and you actually get to play with them and yes I am jealous but let me have this one thing)Hopefully my volunteer application will go through and I will get to play with the sharks some, or the otters, or maybe the turtles, or the seals?!?!?!?! Hurray for amnimals!!!
