(no subject)
today was my co-worker matthew's birthday. marianne brought in homemade cola cake and i had a piece shoved in my direction. i took it and was dismayed to find that it actually does taste like cola. i read once that cola is supposed to be cinnamon flavored... which i find odd because i love cinnamon. i do not, however, love cola. in fact, whenever i have the misfortune of having any i am always re-surprised by the awfulness of it. i cannot believe so many people drink that crap!
also, i was in the bathroom a little while ago and while washing my hands another lady emerged from a stall and came over to the sink area. while i was getting soap on my hands and working it in to a respectable lather, she simply ran her hands under some water for literally three seconds. then she grabbed a paper towel and left. that so irks me because why even bother??! she obviously thinks her hands are cleaner than a commoners and just runs some water over them to appear clean. well it doesn't work lady!!!
i always want to say things to people like that, but i never do. in fact, someone put up signs all over the place about how it's flu season and we should all be washing our hands. there was one taped to the mirror above the sinks and it was all i could do not to tap it while giving her a stern, eyebrows-raised sort of look.
i think part of me really wants to be a school marm.
