Did I ever mention how much I love meeting new people? Blame it on me being an only child, but there has never been a time when I wasn't excited about making a new friend.

Intro: My name is Maria, or Mia, for short. To be honest, no one calls me Mia anymore. Which kinda sucks, because I've always associated that name with good, happy memories.
Anyhow, I currently reside in New York, about an hour from the city, on Long Island's Great South Bay. I used to live in a couple places, actually... namely the Philippines and Maryland. Oh, and I'm Filipina, but you know that. Some trivia... I don't know if you've ever seen it, but you know that Disney movie, Mulan? (my favorite, btw) Well, the girl who does her singing voice (also Jasmine's singing voice in the Aladdin movies), is a really famous singer... a Filipina. Her name is Lea Salonga, and the funny thing is that my grandfather used to date Lea's mom back in, oh idk, the sixties? Fifties? Yeah. Lulz.
Let's see... what else? I'm a high school junior at St. John's. I hate dirty fingernails. My favorite color is green. I have an obese kitten named Apple. I have a really unhealthy obsession with Amazon.com. And the last message I got from someone on my cell phone was from my best friend, and it went something along the lines of "Hey. I'm really sweaty right now. I'm in the living room, throwing myself onto my surfboard and a pile of pillows. OK. Bye."
AND HOLY MOTHER. I love Harry Potter more than I let on. Trust me. But you know that, too.
